Evocative and cinematic, the music is a meeting of contemporary jazz sensibilities and Antipodean soundscapes. New Zealand guitarist Harry Harrison debuts his seven piece ensemble on a collection of original compositions. ‘I went in search of jazz sounds that felt like New Zealand. The cascading rivers, majestic mountains and valleys became the lines and co-ordinates in the music. The stillness became the spaces between the notes’.
